I have eaten maybe 20 times or more at Heat, mostly at Boländerna easy access to free parking across the street! , a few times at Akademiska very difficult and expensive parking! and never left hungry or otherwise less than fully satisfied. They offer, first, a very broad and well kept salad buffet, second, a choice between 3 5 main dishes though choice is not really the correct word as you are totally free to choose them all and many do! , sometimes also a dessert such as pancakes with jam. Soft drinks including light beer are freely available, as is coffee. Out of the main dishes, one is typically based on fish, one or two on meat, plus one vegetarian option. They are all good examples of Swedish style home cooking. For example, their potato mash is heavenly! Or, if lucky, rimmad oxbringa med rotmos might be on the daily changing menu. Or fisk och skaldjursgryta , or ...! It might be advisable to avoid the most busy time which is around 12 noon, when queues can be a bit disturbing, much better at e.g. 1 pm or later they don 't close until 3 pm at Akademiska and 4 pm at Boländerna , and the room might be rather noisy probably not the right place for a cosy or romantic meal, rather a bit like a high end school eatery. But on the whole, a remarkably reliable place, offering unlimited supply of very competently cooked food! Prices are reasonable, at present 110 SEK per meal, or 100 SEK if you pre pay at least 10 meals stamgästkort .
