I popped the question last night at the ocean restaurant (discretely - the staff or other patrons didn't know) and it topped of another perfect meal.

The included breakfast in our room meant we were here every morning. Great service, decent variety in the menu, good food in general and appreciative for the staff's flexibility for dietary needs. The high tea was okay. Just okay. Pricier than I'd like for what we got but that's fine. I wasn't expecting party pies on a high tea platter to be honest. Unfortunately had to cancel dinner reservations here so can't comment on that but ordered some burgers as takeout which they graciously delivered to our room. Burgers and chips were great. Overall it's a great place. Good ambiance and great service. Prices are on the high side but the food is above average and you can't beat the location.

We started the meal with a bottle of champagne, which took very long time to arrive. two of our party ordered the vegetarian/vegan option (kurie) and made a point to remind the waitress that we wanted it without rita, so it would be vegan what it confirmed. lo and behold, it came out with raita over it, so it had to be sent back. When he came back, the rice was cold and the curry was lukewarm, so we asked him to be heated. the kitchen was completely unapologetic and only gave a speech. when the meal returned hot enough to eat, all the other members of our party had finished their main thing. eating itself was very average, especially for the price. overall a very disappointing culinary experience.

Unfortunately a very bad experience. husband and I went too high today. we booked online on the morning and received a booking confirmation. during the posting, the supervisory officer held us at the posting that the posting should not have been accepted as they prescribe 24 hours. I'm sorry, not my problem. the booking was accepted so should be accommodated. the superior hath put us down. the personal, where not attentive and for $40 a head they will certainly not get their money worth. it was a very bad form of high tee compared to others.
