What a disappointment! We have been going to Swiss House for 20 years, brought friends from North Carolina yesterday for “a special meal”. It was embarrassing. The Rosti was gray, greasy, salty and inedible. Pickerel was tasteless and overcooked. Asked the manager what was happening in the kitchen, “new cook” was all he said. Several other patrons sent back their food . I realize covid has many restaurants struggling , but if you are charging such high prices , your food and service should match it. We were never offered dessert and had to go find a server to pay. Used to be a dinner we really looked forward to. Not sure if it is under new management, but we will not be back .

This restaurant is a great place to access by sled. The food is amazing, the staff is wonderful, and the cabins on site are a fantastic place to stay. The accommodations are cute, clean, and comfortable. It's a hidden gem and we will definitely return!

Under New Ownership and, from what we could ascertain, all new staff. There were very few patrons for what had been a Pickerel Special for years and years. This became quite obvious on many ways. We were one of four tables in the entire restaurant. The menue selections were both minimal, for The Swiss Country House, and megre. I must admit, I am a Red Seal Chef and familiar with meal productions. Our waitress had little, if any, support from the kitchen. This being obvious from the extremely tardy food preparation time lines and in light of the minimal number of gueststudents in attendance to-night. When our meals were served, theyou were quite a distance from attractive or appealing. Three factors attached to the kitchen: prep time, plating and techniques for preparation. I had the Pickerel Special, celiac style: the celiac request seemed to be unknown to the staff, so it was ex plained as gluten free. My Pickerel was, ready for this, tough and dry! My rosti sorry but I have no umlate on my device was almost unrecognizable and the furthest from presentable that I might immagine. During my training that entree would have been against the wall before being served! The vegetables served were over cooked and under portionned. Our waitress had requested that, should we prefer additional Pickerel, it was an all you can eat feature to-night, we advise as we were served. I did advise my preference for additional Pickerel to the manager as she assisted in service to our table. That request was acknowledged by the manager. Subsequent service was only realized after discussion with our waitress. Perhaps the request was not submitted to the kitchen. Having attended this restaurant numerous times pre-pandemic, Enjoyed this menu offering on many occasions, having been in a restaurant filled with diners enjoying the entire restaurant experience, I was dismayed. Gone were numerous happy staff serving multiple dining areas filied with customers enjoying their suppers Ina wonderful atmosphere. Yes . . . Gone. I cannot suggest the Swiss Country House as a dining destination under current management, kitchen staffing and expertise, or limited menue. Our waitress was doing her best and I did mention that she had little to no support from the kitchen. On the up-side, almost, was that there seemed to be veryour ample parking . . . Some of the best of which was occupied by staff. Back to say that I took no photos of the meals served as none warranted promotion.

Visited this property with a couple of friends for a weekend getaway recently, and had an amazing experience. This place is definitely a hidden gem, and we are thankful we found it! Food and service in this restaurant were excellent. You can definitely tell that the people who work here love what they do! Didn’t even know about the Sunday Brunch Buffet until we arrived at the resort, but it was AMAZING. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all on point (views of the lake are incredible! Will absolutely be back! Thank you!
