Apache Spur (mauritius) - Mahebourg

UPD. They read my review and promised to improve their food. Not bad after all. Many restaurants barely do the same. The service is good, but the food is terrible! I ordered Hawaiian Schnitzel with melted cheese, bacon and grilled pineapple. What I got was chicken breast from KFC with slices of cheapest cheese, sausage and canned pineapple! Nothing common with schnitzel and with grill. Onion snack was delicious btw. Not recommended until you want a spoiled lunch.

1) I ordered a lamb burger, and to my surprise, it turned out to be a lamb patty rather than actual lamb meat. This should definitely be clarified on the menu. It's quite disappointing for an international restaurant to serve a lamb patty. The flavor was only about 5-10% reminiscent of real lamb. 2) The burger itself was dry, and I was shocked to find out that I had to pay an extra Rs 99 for a sauce. Really? There was no signature sauce included for the burger? That's quite frustrating! 3) As for the crispy onions, they were a complete letdown. They were greasy and lacked any crispness. The onions were cut into very small pieces, making it unappetizing to look at. They did not resemble what was shown in the picture at all.

I stopped by for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Guacamole Burger while my partner chose the Mexican Burger, and both were absolutely delicious.

It's no more the spur we know long time ago. They took us a long time to serve us although the restaurant was almost empty. The burger was average, the chips does not feel fresh and on crispy onions was not well cooked. (Not a simple thank you or sorry from your staff when we were leaving the restaurant)

Spur is a restaurant that I absolutely love. It's one of my favorite dining spots. I made a reservation ahead of time, and the person on the phone confirmed it. However, when I arrived, they couldn't locate my reservation but were still able to find me a table. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as it had been in the past. While the portion sizes had decreased, the prices remained unchanged. The waitress served us adequately, though the wait time was quite long, which I can understand given that the restaurant was busy.
