I would call this a hole in the wall, was hesitant to eat here at first but so glad we did. The staff were friendly. We've been driving around to different restaurants and wish we found this place the first day. I'm not so big on sweet potatoes but the sweet potato shrimp tempura reminded me of when my grandma used to make it, it was delicious. The portion size was good for what we paid for. Simple menu, the banh cuon was better than what you find in Houston.
This was my first time trying banh cuon and I was not disappointed! In fact, I am craving more! I had their dac biet, which includes their shrimp banh cuon and meat banh cuon. It was flavorful and tasty. Not to mention, the rice paper was made very thinly, which I hear is a sign of a good banh cuon place. : The sweet potato fritter that comes with it was the bomb, too!!!!! One note is that the seating is pretty limited since there are only 5-7 tables, but personally it wasn't a problem since I went on a weekday afternoon. I would highly recommend this mom-n-pop banh cuon place!
Love this place for their FRESH and quality ingredients not to mention the authentically great taste. It a small, clean shop and well managed by a very sweet couple. We love their bánh cuốn, bánh bẻo, bún riêu and look forward to trying more on the menu.Vegetarian options: Fresh vegetablesKid-friendliness: Relaxed atmosphere w high chairs avail. I Yelped this place trying to get some Banh Coun and Banh Beo. The Banh Beo is no longer on the menu, so that might need to be updated on Yelp. But the Banh Coun is still available. I have never had Banh Coun with so much protein filling before. They were very tasty and I loved that they provided so many toppings like Cha Lua, cucumbers, bean sprouts, perilla leaves, and fried onions! The nuoc mam dipping sauce was also really tasty and I'm glad they gave such a large container. Also, they put a very large sweet potato and shrimp tempura in a brown paper bag to eat with the dish. I LOVED the deep-fried julienne sweet potatoes!!! It was sooo crispy and delicious in the nuoc mam sauce.
