Lavenders Riverside Cafe - Maitland

Had to wait almost an hour for a Luke warm coffee and the poor excuse for eggs on toast. Never get that hour or $17.50 back. Won't be returning.

Terrible. The schnitzel was over priced for what you got and it was burnt with a mountain of salt on it to hide the fact I could cut my gums if I ate it. All the staff said was that they would let the kitchen staff know, no apology or anything they would do and I could hear the kitchen staff talking about it asking what was wrong with it among other things.

We've been there several times in the last couple of weeks and it's become a favourite. Their coffee is always superb and the service is friendly. Their meals are always hot and delicious. I find it good value for money. What makes it a great place for my partner and I is the friendly service. They take time to say hello and not once have they screwed up an order. You must have their coffee as it's just beautiful. Highly recommended!!

So disappointed in the food. Was really looking forward to eating there but I was terribly disappointed. Went with a party of about 15 people and we sat at tables with about 4 people. Thought there would be river view and know there was a small river but couldn't see it from where we were sitting in the courtyard. 3 people at our table ordered the "all works hamburger". It looked delicious, 2 pieces of the roll piled with pineapple, beetroot,tomato, onion, homemade rissole and we could have tomato or barbeque sauce but couldn't see any. The rissoles were inedible, disgusting. The 3 of us couldn't eat them and sent them back to restaurant, I WONDER IF THEY GOT THE MESSAGE. $24.50 for the burger and 600ml of diet coke. What a waste.
