Location great Service friendly but inattentive Food mediocre Could be a great place if they addressed the quality issues with food and service

Our first night in Spain and we wandered down to this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. The setting was gorgeous. Right on the sea with the waves crashing. Lovely. My friend got the grilled cod and I had sole. Both cooked beautifully and were delicious. Can’t wait to come back and have it again!

Visited this restaurant this afternoon by Miraflores Cala de Mijas, we asked to sit inside as the sun was very hot and bright and one of our party is very fair. The staff did not seem happy with us sitting inside and things went down hill. The staff were then rude and very abrupt they never bothered to come back and ask how the food was, no interaction with us at all, they seemed to be rushing us and just came over and said finished and took our plates. We had family with us and I was so embarrassed as I said the restaurant had very good reviews and apparently the staff were very good. Definitely will not be going here again, we are in the area for a month with lots of friends and family visiting and would have gone back a couple of times each week if the experience had been pleasant. Unfortunately very disappointing, bill came to €100 for the 4 of us so technically they have lost our custom which could have been over €800 for the month, I don’t suppose they care. Fish was cooked lovely but chips not special at all dry and hard.

La calidad de los pescados es indiscutible pero, al menos desde mi punto de vista, agradezco que el servicio que atiende advierta si se pide comida en exceso y no se intente vender por vender, para evitar tener que tirar la mitad de la comida. Creo que es preferible pedir más productos más tarde, o dejar hueco para un postre y un café e irse con un buen sabor de boca. En cualquier caso, lección aprendida para la próxima vez.

Pescado y servicio muy bueno, aun que lamento que “el plato fuerte” la fuente (en la foto) no está en el menú y entonces mejor preguntar por el precio. La cuenta algo más cara de lo que me esperaba.
