The Original Malanda Cafe

Eat like a King (Henry VIII comes to mind!) for very little cash...Here I have a Crumbed Steak Burger and a plate of the closest thing to a Poutine you'll find in the tropics, $17 for the pair! My spouse decided to go her usual healthy way with the grilled fish, chips and salad. Not many places where you can both leave, groaning with happiness, for $32 these days.

We stopped for a quick coffee and breakfast. Service was very friendly and food and coffee were great.

Wow simply hands down the best fish prawns calamari chips and gravy I've ever had well done!This is a delightful little cafe and well worth a visit.When we went in the staff were flat out,but we got a served in a timely fashion and with a friendly smile! Good honest country food was just what I expected and I was not disappointed.Under new ownership this little cafe is fantastic and will definitely hold up their end up making delicious memories for the locals and tourist trade alike we look forward to seeing you when we next visit. You have made us customers for life thanks.5 stars!

Was coming through town, thought I might try out this cafe. Not again. Was the only customers in store at the time. We had ordered. Got our milkshakes- (Vanilla) which tasted like I was just drinking milk. So asked for more flavor and if anything it didn't even taste like they added anything more. 3 Customers then come in ordered lunch. Both waited for take-away. We had ordered 2 toasted sandwich's. The other people ended up getting there meals before us. And we ended up waiting another 20mins for our toasties- I had also ordered a runny egg on my s/w but was rubbery as hell. So we waited 40mins for 1x Ham cheese tomato onion s/w and a Bacon and egg. I work in a cafe myself and sure does not take 40mins to get 2 toasties out.

Nice clean little café. Center of town. Well presented. Fantastic hamburgers. Friendly staff. Under new ownership. Definate lunch stop.
