This place is an absolute gem in a place where there’s a severe lack of vegan options. I had the seafood goreng, mock beef satay skewers, and Roti Gulung Sosis. I’m still not entirely sure what that last one was (Asian sausage in batter? , but it was very tasty. Satay skewers took the prize for tastiest item. It’s more expensive than street vendors, but it’s fully vegan and still cost £3 for a huge meal. I’m not gonna complain! Order from GOJEK if you’re in the centre and can’t be bothered to make the trip!
The menu at this restaurant is extensive and all in Indonesian, but there are photos of the dishes which accurately depict how they look. This makes it easy to point to what you want, and you can also get a good idea of what each dish is like from the pictures. The service was very fast, which made me question the freshness of the food, but everything tasted delicious. The menu has a lot of fried options, so it may not be the best choice for those who are health-conscious.
I visited the restaurant in July 2019 and again in November, and both times the experience was very good. The restaurant was not crowded in the evening...
It was the three-and-a-half-mile walk through the rain and through a busy road worth more than this restaurant in Malang. No atmosphere, but so delicious food. A menu known and less famous dishes. The menu contains pictures, so that helps where the staff barely helps. English speaks.
