Having been let down for a Sunday Birthday lunch for a group of 10 .A phone call to the Queen Vic as a last resort they fitted us in. what a revelation the food was excellent the service was beyond expectation. Grace our waitress was far too professional for her age . I can highly recommend this Pub for its food and service and very friendly staff . Thankyou all for making my wife's birthday lunch so special .
Thanks so much for squeezing us in... We thought our friends had booked a table and they thought we had, so, when we got there the only tables were outside! Great, but it was lashing it down! The torrent of rain was harsh so the next alternative was to sit at the darts table, but as we are not that good at darts, or even good at ducking the darts while eating was not an option
I only popped in for a quick drink whilst waiting for a cab. I usually wouldn’t review after such a short period at a place but the friendly welcoming and clean environment was so apparent I really would feel bad not leaving a review. Thanks guys! Really nice venue and people!
The service was friendly, polite, and fast, but not rushed. The Sunday roast was delicious, offering a selection of meats, including beef, chicken, pork, or even all three if you wanted. The cheese was cooked perfectly and served hot. The desserts were equally delightful, with the cherry-filled pancakes being a standout recommendation from our waitress. The apple dish, coated with cinnamon and sugar, was also very tasty. The seating was comfortable, and the location in the bay window was beautiful. The staff went above and beyond for us. I definitely recommend visiting!
