We tried 2 of the sharing platters, chicken and fish and we ate almost every last crumb. Staff very friendly and service swift and attentive. Prices very reasonable too. Would definitely return and can recommend.
Had lunch at the Swallowtail with my partner and elderly mother. The view from the restaurant was lovely, looking out onto the yacht club and river Crouch. The staff were very friendly and extremely efficient. The food was fabulous. We had great starters and plumped for the sharing platters between the 3 of us (fisherman's platter and mixed chicken platter) the food was hot, fresh and very tasty. And although we all have great appetites we had more than enough delicious food. We did manage fabulous deserts. My mother is not too good on her feet but this was no problem as there is a lift to the first floor restaurant. We will return to try more of the menu and are happy to recommend
Amazing lunch with my husband and two dogs. I had a bacon brue cranberry baguette from the light menu and it was huge. The chicken burger was Massive. Great service. Dog friendly. Good value. We will return.
The location of this restaurant is incredible! With lovely views overlooking the river and a nice balcony with a sun shade, it's a clean and comfortable spot with plentiful parking. However, they consistently fail to stick to their published opening times. Despite visiting three times over the past two years, we've encountered closures or early closing each time, giving the impression that the staff are eager to leave. This inconsistency makes it challenging to plan a visit, so don't count on them being open even if they say they are!
What a lovely place, great food and drink at a reasonable price. Amazing views and lovely staff, especially if you want a walk and like boats.
