I had the best meal in Uruguay at this restaurant with their amazing entrecote steak smothered in sauce and served with kartoffels on the side. The price was also reasonable for such delicious food. The meat was juicy and flavorful, highly recommended!
Traditional Uruguay BBQ place, popular since 1995. Quite big, with a second space in the back of the patio. We had an excellent lunch of the ‘solo cortes’ sampler, only cuts of the best meats, 3000 pesos without side dishes. Very generous portion, supposedly for 2-4, but could easily serve 6, since with 4 we could not eat all. Expect around 1000 pesos each. More if you also go for the very delicious desserts.
¡Muy rico! Had a dinner with local friends who introduced us to the authentic Uruguayan parrillada, a delicious barbecue experience complete with sweet and salty morcilla, chinchulin, molleja and other cuts. The dessert, dulce de zapallo, was also yummy!
Classic is indeed a parrillada clasico very typical of Uruguay. Big bustling place with nice garden and play area for kids. All types of meat fish and salads, with pizza, fresh pasta dishes too. Much less expensive than similar places in Punta del Este. 20 mimutes from la Brava on Avenida Roosevelt. For gringos, go early like 6 and place is quiet, by 8 packed....
