Hotel Jen features a cafeteria at the ground floor right at the reception area. Like any other restaurants in The Maldives this place has more covers with very few attendants. The service is relatively slow but the food we had was quite good. The place has some exclusive beverage menu . Slightly overpriced but is definitely worth a try.
Definitely a good place to dine-in or buy on the go. I love their Sri Lankan seeni sambol buns (sweet mixed onion kinda curry stuffed in the bun). And there's more variety of of tasty buns to kill your taste buds. What I don't like is that they add service charge to their bill even for a take away order and that's not a joke. 10% service charge for anything and everything you buy. Most shops in Malé ask whether it's take away or dine to bill accordingly. But Jen's kitchen does not.
When I went there at 01:00 am they were closed in spite of they wrote closing hours at 02:00 am waking for 400 metres for nothing it was Wednesday
The place looks great, the staff are friendly. The only question is the cleanliness of the food preparation? 2 sandwiches ordered, 1.5 eaten, 1 creepy-crawly found within half of it.... Will update if I decide to go back for another try...?
