Lovely evening at the Roost. Staff were very friendly, the food was really good mix of cuisines. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Had a fantastic evening in a very relaxed atmosphere whilst enjoying authentic Sri Lankan food. Both the pork and chicken rice and curry were flavorsome and the spiciness was adjusted upon request. Moreover, the deviled chicken curry was scrumptious. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I have never felt robbed after visiting a restaurant before, I did last night. Service was poor and slow. Although some staff were good two had attitude with everything they did. The Steak was terrible. Hard to cut despite being medium rare. For the price I could have bought 3 and cooked to a far higher standard. The entire menu is overpriced for what it is. I won't be visiting again. Lack of atmosphere and to hear who I assume is the manager at the bar saying they are too busy for more or something along those lines. It was nowhere near full and you could see they were struggling. There was 6 of us and it was the biggest waste of £200 ever. Edit: forgot to mention the menu didn't make any sense, banoffee pie said it had a digestive base but it they used rich tea. So weird.
