Definitely very photo worthy! We came for happy hour (Tues-Thurs 5-7pm) and tried their creole dip, popcorn, and got some of their cocktails. For happy hour, food is $3 off, and wines are $6-7, specialty cocktail is $8. Id come back for happy hour if I was in the
New Orleans style speakeasy in West Seattle Hell yes! True speakeasy style the entrance is via an alley at the back side of California Avenue. Walk in and it is a nice warm cozy modern speakeasy with good amount of seating. Love the decor this place has to offer. We just wanted to try their cocktails this time so we ordered the Sazerac (the best), Vieux Carre (good), Manhattan (good) Daisy margarita (was okay). Ocean the bartender was very friendly and he does a very good job at churning these wonderful cocktails. Next time I would love to stop by this place to try out their food. I can imagine this place being super packed on weekends. See you soon on Gumbo Sundays. Welcome to the neighborhood!
As of 1.19.22, Happy Hour (HH) is Tuesdays Thursdays 5 7 PM. There is one special cocktail for the $8 HH price, and I believe they will change that cocktail monthly. HH Cocktail $8: I think the cocktail was called the Audrey. I just remember it had blueberry and was very tasty. Mocktail $8: My companion mentioned they weren't drinking that night, and the bartender advised they could whip up a craft mocktail. It also had blueberry and was yummy. We didn't know the price at the time though, so I'm surprised it was the same as the HH cocktail. Creole Dip HH $9: I thought this would have a spicy kick to it, but it was pretty mellow. We did need to ask for more bread to finish the dip. Gumbo HH $11: I'm not the biggest gumbo fan in general, but wanted to give it a try. I thought it was ok. Mac n Cheese HH $6: It was fine, not super memorable. Popcorn HH $3: This popcorn had the creole seasoning I was expecting to have in the creole dip. I enjoyed munching on this with my drinks. Ramos Gin Fizz $16: This drink takes some time to prepare, and that is called out on the menu. It was very smooth, but flavor wise I preferred the Audrey. I do prefer fruitier cocktails in general. I want to give the jambalaya and pralines n cream a try next time, but otherwise I'll likely stick to cocktails and popcorn here! My Star Ratings: 1 Star Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.
Top secret posh location for cocktails that will dazzle your taste buds and inspire riveting conversation. If you're on the fence, let me make up your mind for you. YES. Yes you want to visit In The Heart.
Beautiful, local speak easy style bar in the heart of the junction. Great customer service, decor is gorgeous. It made for the perfect low-key date night. My only hang-up is pricing of food, it was delicious but rather expensive.
