Our calamari appetizer was exceptionally tough, the clams were overcooked and the fish was mediocre. All of the fried food seemed to be cooked a little dark, possibly meaning that the oil needed to be refreshed in the fryer. The artichoke dip was tasty and the atmosphere was great, but I don't think it would be a repeat visit restaurant for us.
The beer brought me back but this was me when I fought out they didn’t have oysters
They serve the best seafood I have had in a long time! Area is too busy to be relaxing so consider eating inside unless the weather is impeccable and the workmen have the day off. The restaurant is understaffed unfortunately so the service suffers.
Entered with a reservation we were on time, but we were asked to wait. Approximately 10 minutes later we were seated. We ordered drinks and an appetizer of artichoke and seafood dip. It looked delicious, but had so many onions in it, it was difficult to eat. The seafood in the dip was full of shells and cartilage . We ordered our entrees and again everything looked great, but was not really enjoyable to eat. We ordered both types of fish and chips and the cioppino. The fish and chips both halibut and cod were ok, but the cioppino was not eatable. It was cold and extremely sour. We brought this to servers attention and he immediately removed the dish and took it to the kitchen. Kitchen replied that it tasted sour bc it was cold and that they could reheat it. I'm sorry if a customer states that a product is bad (not that I just disliked it) it should not under any circumstances be reheated and reserved. I refused to accept the dish and declined their offer for a different dish. We were not charged for the dish. The service was slow but good.
Always a favorite stop when I'm in town. 5 piece, bowl of white and a coke to share is a fun experience and always delivers! Views, flavor, seagull entertainment...and lots of memories!
