The service was not good at all, but hard to say if that was a one-off. They delivered the food to the wrong spot and forgot to tell us so it sat there for 30 minutes and then when we asked, the waitress just kinda pushed it across the whole bar to us without a word. Very odd. Bartender seemed cool, though.
I’m not sure that it is worth it for me to review this place. The waiter told me that they were shutting down because they cannot get enough business to meet the expenses. Apparently, they rent several floors and quite a bit of space in the building. They fill up on the weekends, but not during the week. The space looks cool. The main dining room is spacious with high ceilings and nice wooden decor. The night I came in, it was deserted. I headed to the bar area on the recommendation of my dining companion. There were half a dozen or so tables, mostly filled. Maybe if they could just rent that area, they would be OK.I don’t drink as much as I used to and was not in the mood for alcohol, so I asked for an iced tea. My dining companion was working on a diet coke. We caught up on stories about sailboats while I looked over the menu. My companion recommended the curly fries that come with the burgers and sandwiches. The stories were interesting enough to distract me from reading the whole menu. I went with a french dip and curly fries. My companion was a regular at the place, so every interaction with the staff involved long conversations. They were understandably distressed over the closing of the place and we heard several people’s personal stories of what that meant to them. They really liked the place, but they all saw it coming given the lack of customers. It is hard to get a good french dip around here. The roll should be able to hold up to dipping, the meat should be generous, but not falling out. It should be arranged in folds that add volume but are easy to bite. The jus must be full of flavor. Options include a good sauce or cheese. This sandwich hits all the basics and includes a horseradish sauce that adds a nice note. It was a little dry, but that is why you have the jus. Each dip added moistness and flavor and there was plenty for the whole sandwich. You can get several different sauces to go with the curly fries. I had ketchup, mayo and ranch. I like the variety and the opportunity to mix and match. The fries themselves needed salt, but they were nice and crunchy. There were no clumps that ruin curly fries in some places by preventing proper cooking. The pile was big enough that I was not able to eat them all.My companion and I split the bill and I was a bit shocked by my half. If it had included a beer or two, I would have understood, but it was way too high for iced tea and a sandwich.I liked the atmosphere of the place and if it was going to stay in business, I would go back to try some of the rest of the menu.
My fiancée and I had our rehearsal dinner here. Kate the owner was amazing! She was always easy to reach when we had questions about the event, she was active during the dinner making sure everyone always had drinks and was happy, and she clearly took the time to layout a beautiful and cozy table for the whole wedding party. The atmosphere was very homey and my groomsmen enjoyed that there were plenty of TVs to watch the Mariners game. The food and drinks were fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. Only wish we had come here earlier!!
The location and ambiance is nice. Service was decent. The food however was incredibly bland. Ingredients look and tased like big bags from Costco. Not ready made. It was OK however the prices were gourmet. A Caesar with chicken and a side salad cost $70 after tip. Not worth a premium for Dennys level taste.
The food here as incredible. Pretzel with cheese was truly amazing. The Asian girl busser was very rude to me when she got after me for setting some used plates on the bar because she needed space to put down more food and hadn't taken the plates yet but I'm willing to overlook one rude employee who doesn't know their job when the food and rest of the service was great.
