The Cod chips were huge, two pieces of cod with nice crispy batter. The Sea Bream however was extremely small. I've seen bigger anchovies (which brings me on to me Caesar Salad). I ordered a Caesar salad with poached duck egg for my mains. When it arrived, the romaine lettuce came with halved cherry tomatoes and sliced cucumber. For God's Sake!! hasn't the chef ever done a Caesar salad before? What the hell was cucumber tomato doing in it? It had no anchovies, only a couple of croutons and a bare sprinkling of Parmesan. I asked about the cheeseboard and was told it comprised of Cheddar, Shropshire Blue and Goat's cheese. I asked if I could just have the Shropshire blue. When it arrived the cheese was actually Stilton not Shropshire blue. The restaurant is in a nice location next to the lake, but the kitchen really need to get their act together. No wonder we were the only ones there!
My wife and I went to a restaurant on Easter Monday for dinner. We had made a reservation several weeks in advance, but when we arrived, we were informed that there was a limited menu. The starters were average, nothing special. The main courses, a beef dish and a pork belly dish, were below standard. The beef was dry and tough, while the pork belly was also tough and had soggy skin instead of being crisp. The vegetables were overcooked. It was far from fine dining. I wish we had been informed beforehand if the kitchen wasn't operating at full capacity.
We visited on Friday 29th to try the burger night deal, we weren’t disappointed, the food and service was excellent. The burgers were amazing and so were the sides. Definitely be going back .
We had lunch at Harrisons Restaurant in the Cadmore Lakeside Hotel, Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire in March 2019. The hotel is located next to a large lake and our table in the restaurant offered a beautiful view of the lake, fountain, and swans. We were the only guests in the lovely dining room and received exceptional service from the friendly and attentive staff, especially E. The Winter Menu had a variety of dishes to choose from, all of which were freshly prepared, hot, and presented on warm plates. The food was delicious and our overall experience was very enjoyable. We are looking forward to returning and highly recommend Harrisons Restaurant. The setting is gorgeous, the food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. If you are planning a wedding or corporate event, this place offers everything you need - hotel accommodation with spa and swimming pool, top-notch restaurant, beautiful grounds for photos, and attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure your visit is pleasant. The picturesque watermill on the grounds adds to the charm of this hidden gem in the Worcestershire countryside. It's definitely worth a visit!
In general, the meal was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. My only critique is that the restaurant could use a bit more ambiance. It is nicely decorated, but the bright lighting and old-fashioned décor may be a bit off-putting for some. Despite this, I would definitely return because the food was outstanding.
