They barely have enough parking for guests so once I got my spot, I went out of my way to avoid losing it meaning I never drove out to meet friends or get dinner. They'd have to come get me or I'd ride the bus. That was a bummer. I noticed other guests not being able to even get a spot.
This isn’t your Hilton. An older hotel. You’ll need to bring your luggage up outside stairs to reach the front door and more winding and narrow stairs to reach your room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The receptionist who checked us in was really nice and when she saw how much luggage we had (and it was late in the night), she upgraded us to a room on the 2nd floor so we didn’t have to climb up to the 3rd floor. The rooms were old but clean. WiFi works. The breakfast was hard boiled eggs, yogurt and muffins. Could be better and better hours, as it’s 8-10 am only. If you’re looking for an experience of an older cute German hotel, this place is for you. It’s on the outskirts of town and has a nice view. We drove less then 10 minutes to find food. Didn’t use hot tub but wish they would have closed the door to the deck so the cold wind didn’t blow down the hall through the night. It was around 30 degrees at night when we visited. When we loaded our luggage at 5 am the morning of checkout, it was out black outside and no working lights outside on those outside stairs. If there was better lighting I would have felt safer.
Bit dated, but overall nice. Breakfast is grab and go.
Great Austrian inspired lodge. Fantastic service. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful especially Larry and Grace! Dinner was excellent try the Jaegerschnitzel. Clean room and comfy bed. We’ll be back.
(review of the restaurant) I have the feeling that our business did not want, so we went. had an dinner reservation, but more than 30 minutes of almost zero attention and not in the position to even make a drink order, made us quite enchanted. I myself and a few others came a few minutes early for a 7 o'clock reservation and checked with the host. there were some other parties, some of which were there for a long time. it was obvious that the staff was very busy, so we waited patiently for our table to be ready. understandable in view of covid personal deficiency. 15 minutes later we were still there, so I checked with a hired one we sat a few minutes after, but the feeling that they had forgotten us. we got water and brot. I asked if we can order drinks, let us know that she is not our server, but that our server would be soon. 15 minutes later, no server yet, no drinks yet. we finished the broth and left without anyone noticed. one of our party realized that he left his wallet there, so we returned 10 minutes later, table was exactly as we had left it. I am looking forward to eating good atmosphere, but with a rather disappointing experience. I really hope the dinge will turn around soon.
