Shorty's Rib Shack - Mammoth Spring

Came here with a friend that said this place is pretty good. I had the turkey. I enjoyed how it fell apart easily with my fork and it was easy to chew. The BBQ sauce was good with it. The beans I had with my turkey were good too. The staff were all very nice as they chatted with us when they weren't helping other customers. Shorty wasn't there but they did call him over when we asked if he was around. He sat and talked with is for the duration of our meal. I'd go here again if in the area so I could try out some different meats and see how well each one is. I'd recommend coming in at least one to try out your favorite BBQ meat. I ended up trying out the cherry cobbler for desert even though cherry isn't a fruit I care much for. It's actually pretty darn good and I'd recommend trying it too.

Potato salad was good but different loaded potato awesome but the brisket was swimming in sauce. not a good

The cheese dip was gross. There was a ton of fat in our sandwiches. The price for a 32 oz was really expensive. So we went down the street and got 2 drinks for the price of one of theirs.

The beans and potato salad were excellent but the brisket was sad and thinly sliced.

Would be nice to see this place open, or maybe not, looks like it's out of business when we drove in for supper. locals don't seem to know if and when this place is open. wow.won't waste my gas going there again.
