But most employees hate their jobs. Or are simply rude and justified. Not sure why they're gonna let that happen. And honestly, not sure why I'm coming back. Or anyone. Probably because they monopolised the bagel industry in Manahawkin.
I called to place my order and was unable to complete my order (I wanted to add another bagel and 2 ice cream coffees) because it hanged on me before I had the chance. Fast forward 10 minutes, I go to pick up my order and tell them I want to add the bagel and 2 ice cream coffee. The person who revenged me pushed the ticket to my face and said: that not on your ticket?. Of course not because I wasn't able to finish my order before the call was terminated. I was very polite when I worked myself in food service, so I understand how difficult it can be to deal with customers in times. So they make the bagel and the employee brings me 2 hot coffees (I asked for ice cream). At the same time, the owner made my ice cream coffee. very confused place. After the coffees are made, the owner asks if the employee asks us for the coffees (very bad service, do not do that before customers). They couldn't find out what the child has accused us for, so that the owner threw the coffee with us and said: whatever they just take? She was clearly very frustrated, but this is not a way to treat customers. Very disorganized, terrible service. Disappointed, least to say.
Bagels Beyond has sincerely the best Bagels I've ever had, so I didn't make a 1 star. I give a 3 star because we ordered before and when we arrived, we got a bag that did not contain the coffee we ordered. They made the coffee, and they charged us separately. When we came home, we realized that the entire order was not ours. We called and let them know. When we asked what to do with the food, because we had already opened it, they told us to bring it back to them. When we came back to the place, they didn't even begin to make the right order. The person who ordered the order we have received inadvertently is before us. The person who works tried this person to eat the food we had touched and took home. When the person realized that the food was already touched, he asked for a new sandwich (which they did). While I absolutely love the food at Bagels Beyond, the service was not good. Especially with COVID, they should not try to give food touched by a random person to another customer. That was the part that made me really uncomfortable.
If you want a bagel sandwich that is consistently made wrong over the years, go to this location. It tastes fine, just be prepared for about 85% of the time they will get it wrong. You can order a bagel breakfast sandwich they 'll put it on a different bagel than what you asked for. Or you order something like a PC (Pork roll Cheese ONLY) bagel sandwich when you get it you have a PEC (Pork roll, EGG Cheese) sandwich on a different bagel than what you ordered. Or they added ketsup to an order that didn 't want it etc. If it 's not one thing, it 's another. They should rename this place Bagel Grab Bag , because you never know what you are going to get.
Best bagel place in the area. Highly recommend jalapeño cheddar bagels and the olive cream cheese. This is the main one where all the bagels are baked.
