Nippers was a great little find right in front of Manchester, VT village. The menu was a beautiful mix between comfort and exotic dishes. I had a pork plier with goat cheese and roasted pears, excellent! Service was very good. The place is small, only seats approx. 24, place a nice comfortable place to din. It was also a great value that is nice to find these days. I definitely go back when I'm back in Manchester.
We had very good dinner here, but that wasn't one of them. The fried chicken came with an ice-cold center, the redone dinner was far over fried / burnt. This dinner was not pleasant or rewarding at all.
The food here is excellent both dinner and breakfast. The prime filet was melt in your mouth. The staff, however, need customer service training. One was the owner! The steak came out undercooked and the waitress argued that it was ordered that way. Upon checking with the chef, he read the order wrong. When we mentioned to the owner that we waited a full hour to get our food, her comment was, there were other people ahead of you . Yes, but they should be able to handle three tables! No apology. What happened to the customer is always right??? Go for the food if you have lots of time.
The dining room inside looked very old school but the food was amazing. Outdoor seating on the patio is just lovely for a summer evening and includes huge heaters to ensure you are warm enough. I found the owner to be very wine-knowledgeable and he gave me a great recommendation. The Panko shrimp were fabulous and I had a huge salad with fresh (from their garden) vegetables and a generous portion of ahi tuna, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Dessert was the Tuxedo Bombe and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Very happy with the service and food. I would highly recommend.
