This is truly a hidden gem in Manchester. It's a small cozy restaurant with some authentic European dumplings and pasta. Even if you are a solo traveler you can have their dish without having to worry about wasting food. I absolutely loved their Perogi and Tiramisu. Highly recommended!
The best meal we had in Manchester! The pasta is fresh and so delicious and the service was so warm and friendly. Prices also very reasonable. Make sure you ask for recommendations! The spätzle with kaz sauce was the best and a must try, especially if you love cheese sauces. The pappardelle went best with the butter and sage and the texture was silky and amazing. The beef and pork pelmeni was so moorish we wanted another plate! We also had focaccia which was great to mop up the sauces but didn’t enjoy the pearl barley winter salad much. The desserts were also really good. The panna cotta really surprised usthe cocktails were also delicious! 3 dishes focaccia, salad and desert was perfect for 2 people. It’s very carb heavy and filling. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
We absolutely loved our experience at Sparrows and highly recommend it. The service, the food and the drinks everything was phenomenal! We tried pelmeni, spatzle, focaccia and gnocchi along with a drink which was made of umeshu and single malt (match made in heaven I must say) and a very delicious sake cocktail. We will be returning very soon to try the fondue and the desserts :D
This restaurant is a true hidden gem! It's literally tucked away, accessible only via Google Maps, marked by a small black door with a sign on the side. Once inside, you step into a tranquil, Japanese-inspired atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and offers excellent recommendations. The menu features small dishes, so it's advisable to order two per person, served as separate courses. The cocktails are also outstanding, with two fantastic sake options available. The cuisine leans towards European-inspired pasta dishes, all of which were exceptional. Overall, this is one of the best restaurants we've visited, and we highly recommend it!
