The menus do not list prices, so be prepared for a mystery when the bill comes. Nevertheless, the food is generally delicious and there is a small sense of flair when the plates are brought to the table, as you’ll notice some artistic display of garnishes and the arrangement of food. I recommend the rice salad dishes and the tea leaf salad (lahpet thoke), ad this recipe had a lot more beans than the typical dish served in other parts of Myanmar. When the bill does come, a waiter just tells you what is and it’s quite reasonable.
Nice neighborhood tea place. The food variety is good. I liked the local food better than the Indian dishes they had. They have an English menu with pictures to help foreigners order.
Nice, cheap, and local! Fans only and no A/C; staff spoke almost no English. There is an English menu, but without price listed but don't worry. Went at around 12pm, and they were out of Mohinga. Tea leaf rice (with soup) cost 1000 Ks. Utensils were sealed in plastic. Help yourself to the hot tea in the kettle.
Nice place to quick bite. But too crowded, when peak hour like morning and evening you will hard to find the seat. You can get variety of food and drinks. Indian foods, chinese foods, myanmar traditional snacks and foods, shan foods and others. The staff are busy and difficult to order. But getting food was fast. Tea was so good and mohingha is one of the best in Mandalay.
