This small restaurant is only open for lunch (not Sunday's) but all dishes are hand made by Jean-Michel. No micro waved ore made dishes here. Arrive early as it gets full quickly in the summer. Located near the Geant supermarket, the excellence of its food makes up for the slightly less than picturesque location. We ate there today following repeated recommendations. Menu is limited (no staters -just main courses and deserts) but that is is it should be as its all fresh.
Had lunch today. Very good food, also fast service (I was 3rd person to arrive). When the sun is shining it is nice to sit outside, but when its cloudy or raining the inside is rather cramped. Noticed most customers are local businessmen, which in itself is a recommendation. Highly recommended for a nice lunch enjoying the sun.
We came for lunch, based on these reviews. We expected the "English speaking hostess" but had to get by with our broken French. Not a problem, and the food was excellent. I found the vegetarian dish very, very rich (but this is France). The aioli cod was excellent. Very fine cuisine. Prices are more then the 10E noted on TripAd (say, 12 to 15E per entree).
I was in Mandelieu-la-Napoule to visit friends & they raved about this restaurant that they had just discovered. They made reservations for lunch one day & I'm still in "awe". We arrived & my friend was excited to show me the kitchen, small but efficient. We didn't order fast enough, so two of the specials were already sold out. I decided on the salmon ~ it was in a pastry shell & topped with fried leeks, delicious! Be sure to get there early for lunch, the specials go fast!
