Lovely pan fried fish, five spice calamari, grilled juicy prawns, prawn and crab croquettes (an absolute winner!), debearded chilli mussels and plenty of chips!
Didn't try the food , but the alcohol is cheap and plenty of TVs for sport. Even Thoe Freo was getting flogged by over 50 points still had to hav it on the main TVs ! But the 5 starts is for the cheap drinks , get around it , everywhere else is ridiculous prices .
An extensive lunch menu including a Seniors Lunch for $10 , warm in the winter and a large outdoor area for summer eating.
The Brighton Hotel has a great location just near the Foreshore Park.It was a Saturday evening when we dropped in and the place was busy. There was a really nice atmosphere. We couldn't believe that you could buy a pint of Carlton Draught or Carlton Dry for $6 or a jug for $12. Fabulous value.
Went to the Brighton, I had the pasta cabanara , beautiful and tasty but it had more oil than the ESSO oil slick, in Canada, the bottom of the bowl filled with oil, I did not finish it, in fact I had to rush to the bathroom to throw it up. My husband had the steak burger he loved it but the fries were cold and not crispy they tasted funny. He had a two fries and then left it full, moved it to the side. Wont be rushing back there in a hurry.
