The staff informed me that the soy milk might not foam well in a cappuccino, but when my drink arrived, it had plenty of foam which made me question if it was really soy milk. Additionally, the falafel dish came with a yogurt sauce on the side. I asked if it was vegan and it took some time to get the waiter to understand, but unfortunately, it was not. Halfway through my meal, I realized that the same non-vegan sauce had already been put on the (vegan) falafel that I had just eaten.frustrating experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed dining at this restaurant in Candidasa. They offer a separate vegan menu, as well as various vegetarian options including Indonesian and Western dishes. The setting is lovely, with clean facilities and a friendly staff. We highly recommend this restaurant as one of the top choices for vegetarian and vegan dining in town.
We arrived for dinner on a quiet night in early January and received attentive and pleasant service. The restaurant offers a clearly marked Vegan/Vegetarian menu with a good selection. We ordered the Vegetable Rigatoni, which was surprisingly flavorful, and the vegan Nasi Goreng, which was decently spicy and interesting. Both dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. This restaurant is a romantic and upscale option for vegans in an area dominated by meat/fish only restaurants. Overall, we had no complaints and enjoyed our dining experience at this well-run Candidasa eatery.
Beautiful resort. I'd like to stay here. we went for, lunch and although I was happy to see the vegan menu, I was not impressed. the personal told me that the soyamilk would not foam much in a cappuccino, but when it arrived, it had a lot of foam. let me ask if it was not soymilk eventually. also the falafel came with a yoghurt sauce in a side dish. I asked if it was vegan. saw some time to understand the waiter, but no, it wasn't. after eating half my falafel, I realized that the same sauce was already placed on the (vegan) falafel, I just ate. grrrrr.
