Umberto's Of New Hyde Park

Pizza was very good but you cannot order off of the full pizza menu on the restaurant side. If you just want pizza go to the door on the left. The rest of the food was okay and nothing more than average Italian. The service was very good though.

Calamari had no breading at all. Sizes are small. Not worth it

Very dissatisfied, we had a party of 12, pizza side of restaurant refused our reservation, told us we had to go to the ' restaurant ' side..where we couldn 't order regular pizza only personal pies or a full meal..Won 't be returning..

All I've ever heard was how amazing Humberto‘s of new Hyde Park is. So, I treated my daughters out to pizza as a welcome home from their spring break in Florida. We ordered the fried calamari as a starter, only for it to come out lightly fried and a little chewy. We also had ordered a grandma pie for the table. And after a little bit of a delay, the way it came out with a regular cheese pie. Weed if that was the grandma pie we ordered and he looked confused and then realizes mistake. He then asked us if we would take the pie. I thought he meant as well as the grandma pie. When I asked for confirmation of that, he said no, that would be in lieu of the grandma pie. I said we want the grandma pie.  When we got the grandma pie, I felt that it was rushed because, while the edges were crispy, the center was very floppy and soggy. We took eat slices and then took the rest home so that we can heat it up in the oven ourselves. Th Overall, I wasn't very impressed with the quality of the food or the quality of service. Although, I must say, the waiter was very kind and tried his best. The mystique of the great Umberto's must be a thing of the past; it just seemed like overdressed Pizzeria.

The food was very good and we all enjoyed our lunch. The service was good as well except toward the end when we wanted to order dessert and our waiter was on break. It took a while to get the other waiter's attention since he was alone and assisting other patrons. The parking lot could be bigger. It was full even though the restaurant was about 75 percent empty.
