Ordered the mahi mahi tacos to goI was disappointed in the quantity of the rice and beans side as well as the tacos.
My colleagues and I had a reservation at 12 noon and were seated immediately at the Burmese restaurant we were excited to try. The restaurant staff seemed in a rush, as they asked us to order our food at the same time as our drinks. We preferred to wait until we had our drinks before placing our food order. We ordered the Burmese beef and goat stew as well as the Moh Hin Ga (fish noodle soup). The sauces on the stews were decent but the meat was not as tender as we had hoped. The Moh Hin Ga was lacking in flavor according to my colleagues. Soft drinks and iced tea were refilled at no extra cost. Overall, due to the rushed service and mediocre food quality, we do not plan on returning to this restaurant. It seems like there are plenty of customers who enjoy this place based on their Yelp reviews, so maybe we just caught them on an off day or the regular chef wasn't working that day.
We really enjoyed our meal here. We had a variety of dishes and everything was delicious. Although we had all requested different degrees of sharpness, everything came out exactly as requested. The service was exceptional. We were able to have a conversation without being interrupted, but we never had to wait for service and our water glasses were never empty. We will come back and recommend this restaurant to our friends.
The Burma Bistro servers are always nice and attentive!
