Azul De Playa - Manilva

Había un chico muy agradable y paciente, estaba solo con la terraza hasta arriba y de repente salió una compañera muy desagradable y mayor que el y empezó a gritarle delante de todo el mundo, nos pareció vergonzoso que le hablara así al chico que estaba a tope y más y encima súper educado. Esta señora desagradable, déspota y con aire de jefa. No quiero que mis hijos vean ese tiempo de abuso hacia una persona. No volveremos.

Just had an awful experience at Bar Azul. I was shouted at and called a liar when I explained we had not moved the sun beds from one area to another, but found them already moved by others. We put our towels on the already unlocked beds then went up to pay as soon as they opened (we were there well before they opened). I paid (unprompted, I went up as soon as they opened) and he sent the guy out to unlock them but we had already found them unlocked earlier. I tried to explain (the whole conversation was in Spanish but thankfully mine is pretty good having grown up here) but he just kept shouting I'm a liar and it's impossible as HE locked them all up last night... Well here's two photos from late last night after they had closed, of one empty parasol and another of four sunbeds propped up in the bottom left corner, as we found them today. Yet apparently we moved them this morning

The food here is passable, it's not gourmet at all and doesn't try to be. The staff is awesome and very attentive. The food is a bit on the fair side. It's not bàd, not great. I enjoy the beers and drinks mostly as the prices are affordable. I like the location and the outside seating. They have this weird habit of having the inside bar covers with all of the dirty glasses from the day. It's very unappealing, but I'm usually outside so I don't notice. If my review was based only on drinks, staff and location it would be 5 stars, but the somewhat average food takes it to 4. It's a good place don't get me wrong, just keep your expectations low when it comes to food and you'll be fine.

Great place for a quick cocktail or an ice-cream. My only concern is the amount of plastic they put in the drinks, hence the poor rating... one normal size straw and one huge thing... STOP doing that, it's ruining the planet! This is not acceptable! Please consider the environment and if you have to serve a huge straw in a cocktail then get paper ones!

We dropped into this restaurant having viewed the menu while walking along the beach. We ordered a burger from the kids menu which was processed chicken. The ribs had no taste. The vegetarian fajitas were good. The deserts were delicious.
