Port City Organics - Manistee

A small selection of items available, but all of excellent quality. Great place to pick up vegan essentials.

During my week-long stay in a vacation home in Manistee, I made sure to stock up on vegan essentials at the grocery store before leaving. If we needed anything upon arrival, I would have to make do with whatever grocery store I could find. Luckily, I came across Port City Organics, which not only had all the vegan basics I needed, but also offered a great selection of microbrews that could be mixed and matched in 6-packs. We were able to get everything we needed for a delicious vegan and gluten-free s'mores campfire treat for the family. The staff at Port City Organics was incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was evident that the store was family-owned. This hidden gem in a small beach town, which is busiest for only a few months out of the year, truly stood out as a welcoming oasis. The only reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because they also sell meat.

This hidden gem in a small beach town, which sees a high population for only a few months of the year, deserves a 4 out of 5 rating, with the only downside being the availability of meat products.
