Toby's Dog House-manistique

We enjoy watching football at The Barge Inn when we are in Muinising. Unfortunately there are very few restaurants open on Sunday Monday outside of the season. Toby’s Dog House is behind the Barge Inn- you order/pay they will bring your food into the bar. I had the walleye/shrimp pobooy- it was great.

Dumpy old trailer and not even open. We kept driving around the block looking for it before realizing it was this shabby red trailer. This can't pass any food safety standards and it was closed when internet said it was open. I'm not picky...but I'm not crazy either.

September 23, 2022 While on a waterfall excursion, we stopped in . I moved up to the UP 4 years ago, and have been wanting to go to Toby's even before I moved! I love hotdogs and like to think of myself as an expert. I will drive hundreds of miles just to try one. In this instance, I drove 200 miles round trip, just to try Toby's Windy City Chicago dog . Also ordered was a chili dog for my friend and tour guide and a plain, no bun dog for my friends dog, which there was no charge for! My friend and his dog gobbled theirs right down! Me, I was trying to get my phone to work so I could take pictures. No luck with that . Anyway, I would call my Chicago dog exceptional with just a few things needing to be done. 1. Toast that bun! It keeps it from getting soggy. Mine totally fell apart with the first bite. 2. It was on a regular bun not poppy seed. Maybe that's why it was called a Windy City dog 3. The dog could have been a bit hotter for me, I like mine well done. With those few things, I would still have to say that Toby's Dog House, is in for another visit from me!

Love this place. We went between lunch and dinner to miss the rush. Guy at the counter was very nice. Food came out super fast and was delicious! Will definitely go back if we are up that way again.

We ate Toby's Dog House in Munising. Absolutely a fan of everything we ordered. A little confusing for out of towners though. Food only is ordered through Toby's and the drinks alcoholic/non alcoholic) ordered at the bar next door.
