However, when I arrived, I discovered that the restaurant was closed and empty, despite it still being within their posted operating hours. Now I need to find a way to request a refund since the money was deducted from my account but I did not receive any food.
This restaurant would be one of my favorites if they were open when they're supposed to be. I placed an order at 12:30 on Saturday, picked it up at 12:50, but when I went to pick it up from Wakais, the doors were locked and no one was there. I was charged for food I couldn't get because the restaurant was closed during their posted hours. This has happened three times this year, and I'm frustrated that there was no sign or update on their website or Google. They need to fix their hours or actually be open when they say they will be.
The food was excellent, each dish came with generous portions, which was a pleasant surprise. The crab rangoon was especially amazing. They were served hot and fresh. The total bill for my friend and I came to around $50, but with six crab rangoons each, we were able to make two additional meals out of the leftovers.
So yummy! Finally found some Thai food in this town. Every dish we've had has been amazing! Thom yum and the other soup are both delicious! Best crab wontons I've ever had and the veggie egg rolls were perfect. The mild spice level works for me but not mykiddos so much but they like the appetizers.
We got the sesame chicken, tofu nuggets, and the yellow curry with basil. Some of the best food we?ve had in Mankato. Happy for the new ownership and that Mankato now has a great Thai option!
