Food:5/5 Tried her beef tar, wow, I loved it! The salad also complemented the beef, perfect meal. The waiter recommended a white wine, I liked it too. Really a very cozy location with French inspired map. Inside rather dark, on cold days here comes a very cozy feel-good atmosphere. The service is always very friendly and attentive. Very nice wine card with delicious Crémant. Earned 5 stars!

Relax and enjoy in the heart of Mannheim city centre. We are thrilled every time that you find a small oasis for wine lovers just a few steps from the planks. The Coq au vin is part of the narrow horn gastronomy and positioned with a focus on wine and small corresponding dishes. Accordingly, the menu is not very large; however, additional dishes are added daily. We had Gambas yesterday with a delicious risotto (very recommended). One of the classics is the tartar (smallly seasoned) and flame cake. However, the highlight is the selection of wines. Here you will find many of the large regional wineries and this is no coincidence. The restaurant management has excellent contacts with the wineries in the region. In the pre-Corona period there was also a monthly wine-growing table where representatives of the wineries presented their winery and their wines at Coq au vin. We are looking forward to the resumption of this tradition! However, I would also like to highlight the very good service, which has always been very competently advised in the choice of the right wine and the wishes of food and also has an open ear (here it is also paying for years of continuity in the workforce). After a shopping trip we always find the opportunity to make an intensive day beautiful.
