Porter Jacks Grill - Manning

Food is expensive for what it is and no better than burger king. Hamburger was dry..fries looked like the fries you'd find underneath the grill..oysters were small maybe the size of a quarter. I've ordered from there several times over the past fewmonths ordering different things and just haven't been impressed. I don't understand the ratings that this establishment gets.The waitresses have always been nice..that's the reason for the two stars otherwise it would have been one star

Stopped in on our road trip today. Was pleasantly surprised. The decor was interesting and inviting. Staff were friendly and attentive. My husband had the prime rib sandwich which was tender and tasty. I had the turkey blt made into a wrap. Generoushelping of meat and very fresh. We?ll definitely visit again.

I've been here many times and have to say that the food is the best of any restaurant in Manning. Unfortunately the parking lot is terrible. But that could be overlooked. What can't be is the obnoxious homeless who antagonize customers coming and going. The owner needs to make a personal and business decision on what's more important. Feeding the homeless or ensuring customer satisfaction and safety?

For the money I would have paid, I would have expected a 5-star service and taste. Unfortunately, neither came with the meal. the service was closer to the almost food and the food taste was very dirty as if they had no idea what was season. very rarely do I recommend a place or leave a bad evaluation, but for 4 adults and 2 children and a bill of $178.00, I would have expected a meal closer to that of a steak house or applebee’s. unfortunately they got a blatant and honest critique. save their money and go anywhere else when they are looking for service and taste to adjust the bill. it's really bad because I heard great things about this place.
