Dominique Bucaille - Manosque

This is one of the one star Michelin restaurants we had in France and every dish exceeded our expectation.

We visited the restaurant Dominique Bucaille today with two families including 4 children.It was a wonderful lunch. Food, service and environment were of excellent quality. The service crew was very attentive to the children making it a unique experience for all. We sat in the pleasant garden and enjoyed great food. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

Superb, but eye wateringly expensive. That said, lots of extras are thrown in with two lots of mises en bouche and mignardises before dessert. The cheapest half bottle of wine is 35 euros which is somewhat outrageous, but you would reserve this establishment for special treats only. The dishes were absolutely outstanding: cod and foie starters were divine followed by a very generous veal sweetbreads. Desserts were an artistic creation. Get your cheque books out and enjoy.

We visited this restaurant for an anniversary dinner on the Wednesday- just 6 people in the restaurant including us four. The service was excellent and the meal delivered on its promise.(This was our second visit - the last time was in the summer and we had lunch there with our two children. The child meal was pronounced "best ever eaten" by our second son.)
