Double Dragon - Mansfield

I have rarely eaten at Chinese restaurants, but Double Dragon was the final straw for me. After a 10-year break from Chinese food, I decided to give DD a try. The waitress who greeted us was unfriendly and rude, and the food was disappointing. The chicken was fatty, the sauce was generic, and the prawns were not deveined. It was also advertised as all you can eat, but that was not the case. The waitress told us that if we didn't like something and left it, we would still have to pay for it, which was ridiculous. Overall, the experience reminded me of a bush tucker trial. I will be looking for a different restaurant to try in 2030.

Unlimited menu items for £12. Quick service and delicious, hot food. The beef in Cantonese sauce and appetizers are particularly enjoyable.

Oh my goodness! This restaurant is appalling. The service is awful - the staff are rude and loud. And don't even get me started on the food. It's simply not worth the risk. I can't understand how anyone could leave a positive review. Are they clueless about good food, or are they being paid for their feedback? What a nightmare.

The food was really great and arrived in absolutely no time. The waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable too. The decor is outdated but not terrible, and there 's very little parking space outside. One major let down was the waitress who started hysterically laughing when my partner asked what he should do if he doesn 't like a certain dish (they have a no waste policy so you should eat all the food you order to avoid extra charges) and ended that laughter outburst by saying she was told by her manager that you come to a restaurant to order food, not to try it , while still giggling between words. I was shocked with such a ridiculous and rude response, nevermind the idiotic laughter outburst. So yeah, great food, psycho waitress. 3/5

This is my go-to Chinese restaurant, going anywhere else is a disappointment for me. I've frequented DD for a few years now, and thank god it's never changed. The salt pepper chips/chicken from here is my favourite meal in the world. Friendly experienced staff that make sure you get what you want when you order. Glad you guys reopened for takeaway, missed you while you were gone.
