You need to know that this place is more of a shack with a counter than a traditional restaurant. There are only a few spots to sit while you wait for your order, there's no air conditioning, and you often have to stand in line outside just to place your order. But honestly, it’s worth the wait. My coworker and I have been there several times. The ribs are decent, and while the sausage is store-bought, it’s cooked well. However, the highlight is definitely the brisket. It's tender, expertly prepared, has a great smoky flavor, and comes with a tasty sauce—it's honestly the best I've had in North Louisiana. Being originally from Texas, I'm quite particular about barbecue, and this place is the best I've found in the area, hands down! The sides are minimal and probably not worth your time. We usually go for a half pound of sliced brisket and a canned soda, then find some shade to enjoy it. The prices are inexpensive for barbecue—around $10—and if you love really good brisket, this is the spot for you!
