Not a lot of frills here but get a blue plate special 2 Coneys and fries. Great sauce and good service.
Cool . . . old fashioned diner . . .. Awesome place . . . good diner food!
Nostalgic and fun. My wife and I went in here on a colder winter day back in January. I 've always gone past this place while on my way to John 's Hobby Shop or Harings Jewelers and wanted to stop in. <br/ <br/ I like the diner feel of the place and it reminded me of the old 'Mr T 's ' except it has some cooler stuff on the wall and probably more history. <br/ <br/ We ordered probably ever fried item on the menu, which my wife didn 't care for, but it seemed great to me! Fried mushrooms and pickles? Sign me up! The sandwich selection is great, and you can 't go wrong. They even have a good dessert selection.<br/ <br/ I enjoyed going here and hope to someday spend another lazy afternoon at Coney Island.
Ya gotta love a place.... That has a hand lettered sign in the window saying 'try our famous pea salad '. My daughter and I stopped in, serendipitously, on a trip to Mansfield. The pea salad was a fresh made version of what others call seven layer salad, peas, lettuce, shredded cheese, bacon bits and mayo. Sitting at the counter you watch them make it. Our food was diner-ific! Loved the ambience and authentic, been here since the 1930 's feel. We 'll be back!
