Mansfield Family (southside)

I stopped by for the first time while killing time in the area. I ordered the western Omelet and a cup of fruit. The Omelet was about a true serving size not the large portion that seems to be the standard when dining out. Portion size alone immediatelymade it overpriced. What turned me off next was the slice of imitation cheese that had been unwrapped and melted into a glob ontop. The fruit had to be returned. It was beyond anything that could be considered fresh. The smell, appearance, and taste wasunpleasant. I should have known better than to smell it or taste it based on appearance alone. The servers were friendly. Icannot recommend this place based on this subpar experience.

Went here pre COVID and I loved it. Now it went down hill so bad. Over easy eggs was over hard as in the yolks was busted. Hash browns was under cooked but hard. Biscuits and gravy. I am not commenting. The server was excellent. I don't know how it went sobad.

Two stars only because of our server who personally deserves 5 stars. Our server was very friendly and helpful. However, the food was not up to par. Three of our four orders had mashed potatoes with gravy and they were cold. My country fried steak wasover cooked and the gravy was luke warm. My wife's fries were barely warm. Our server was very apologetic and went and got thethree of us each a small bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy. When she brought it to us, she said those should be hot. Turnedout, all three were no better than the first serving and none of us ate any of it. So, we ate out meat and bread. I was not atall impressed. To be fair...I have never had this problem here before.

First time here from out of town but work in the area on occasions as my office is near by. Wonderful fast friendly attentive service love the old school dinner feel and nostalgic decor very large give me a selection highly recommend this restaurantestablishment for all your dining needs.

Club sandwich pictured. Be sure to try the pies. We've had strawberry, pecan, coconut cream, and peanut butter cream, they're all delish! Staff is always friendly and food comes quickly. Prices are very reasonable, we paid $28 for two meals with 2 piecesof pie.
