The meat was very tender but slightly dry and salty for my liking. The side dishes were very flavorful and portion sizes were generous. Overall food rating: 4 out of 5.

I have enjoyed everything I have tried at this restaurant, but if you are a fan of cabbage, this dish is a standout. I would come back just for that alone. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5.

Soulman's BBQ is fantastic. The meat is tender, juicy, and bursting with amazing flavor. The sides are equally impressive, especially the soulful mac and cheese. Making the 38-minute drive to this place is completely worth it every time. Not only is the food great, but the staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful. I adore this place and find it to be very worth it. You definitely won't regret dining here. In terms of kid-friendliness, they are very kind and attentive to children.

I usually do not leave reviews because my Mama taught me if you don't have anything nice to say don't say nothin. My Husband and I tried this place for the first time tonight he got the 2 meat plate with Mac n cheese, and potato salad, I got the chopped bbq sandwich plate with pintos, and french fries. Everything tasted very good I just was not fond of the bread as it tended to be dry. But boy oh boy those pintos, french fries, pecan pie, and banana pudding, ham, and Mac n cheese were the absolute best!
