Tato's Mexican Grill And Cantina

Because of time, l ordered to go. The menu showed lunch specials but when l ordered, they said the specials were only for weekdays so l was forced to order from the Dinner Menu, which of course was more. The person who took my order asked me what kind of Tortillas l wanted, and I told her corn. I ordered the Chili Colorado, and she said it would not take long. I went to use their bathroom, in the meantime which was less than clean (but you know the public doesn’t always flush no manners! so, l used a different stall and upon my return my food was ready. I took my “to go” bag and walked back to my car in the parking lot (a bit of a distance due to the sprawling layout of the mall and tasted my Chili Colorado, which was excellent! I looked for my tortillas and discovered they were not in the bag as promised, so l had to walk back into the mall from the lot and request them. Once back in my car, the walk was worth it, because they were very warm and freshly made and perfect with my meal. The food was good 5 stars, but the rest of my experience was a tad vexing. At least they had a bathroom though, because a nearby restaurant l had consider would not allow the public to use it. Why patronize a place with no bathroom?

I thought it was pretty good, but not particularly great. The decor/staff/ambience was 5 Stars. The drink menu was solid, but the food was pretty standard. For the specifics: *My wife seemed to imply the Tortilla soup didn't actually have tortillas in it *The Carnitas was a bland *The Asada was actually super good *The chips were standard and I think were not specially made or anything on site *The salsa was nice. The place is good and if you watched a movie and want Mexican, it's a solid choice. But if you want to drive, you may be able to do better.

Great food carne asada was on point. Great Drinks too!

Outside seating was nice. We were seated fairly quickly even though it was quite full on a Saturday night. Staff is very attentive and quick. Drinks could be better. Had a margarita on the rocks but it wasn't that great. Food was good, it was brought out fairly quickly as well.

The service was slow but the food was very good. I'm sure post Covid they'll have more staff. The staff that was working we're all very polite and hard working. Definitely going back. The carnitas, a must have.
