Cantina Bbq - Manuel Antonio Costa Rica

I had not expected I had bbq in costa rica, but it was the best I had for a long time. try the sampler. they will not be disappointed. had a great time! even some danced with the music of the live band.

They get the bbq sampler plated when they are a carnivore, they will not be disappointed! we ate our second night in the city and are here relieved for the 2nd round for last night. super service and location, and eating was great!

Very friendly staff. That was great. mojito was a little weak for me, but it was okay.

Very nice atmosphere, very entertaining live latin music, eating is ok. the fish and the otopus we ordered were well done.

Dinner was fine, we had ribs they were very good. However I 'm definitely not giving a 5 star for one small detail, the one thing that I really hate when it happens. In Costa Rica you can drink tap water, and you can always ask for a glass of water at a restaurant without being charged for it. Except in La Cantina, the waiter asks if you want some water, and then comes back with a large bottle of water (with their brand on the bottle) and fake the opening of the bottle. This was tap water 100%, and the bottle was already open. They just refill the bottles and fake the opening, just as if it was a new bottle everytime. Of course I wasn 't expecting to be charge for free water at the end. For a 100USD dinner for two, this was just too much. I let the waiter know, and his reply was: next time you will know ! That is a small detail but that just gives you a bittersweet feeling of your overall dinner experience. Although the waiter wasn 't smart, because what he charged us for the free water , would have been given to him as an extra tip.
