It will be sad to see this place close, as Blackbird is far away the best fine dining on the Oregon coast. While the food, drinks and ambiance were as good as always, the service was rather mediocre this time around. Perhaps the service staff has mailed it in with the restaurant closing so soon.
My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant a few times now. The food is consistently well prepared. We had the brussel sprouts as a starter, which were delicious. My husband enjoyed the green garlic spaetzle and we were both grateful it wasn't too garlicky! I had the rockfish and cauliflower, which isn't always on the menu. It was terrific to have another fish choice and it was excellent. My only recommendation would be to include more greenery (and maybe less cauliflower) it provided a welcome contrasting flavor. We'll be back!
Was disappointed at the limited menu. Steak was excellent. Can tell they are closing.
Great food. The bone marrow was incredible and set up the rest of the meal. Cocktails were also wonderful. You can't go wrong with absinthe!
