As with all Indian food, it's a bit overpriced for the portion, but the portion size in this Restaurant seems smaller than other restaurants. I gotta say my fave was their Mango Lassi; legit mango and yogurt in there. Super tasty, worth the money.
I finally decided to try Indian food again since my bad experienced in 2013 per recommendation by trusted friends. And they're right, this restaurant serves delicious food. I found the tastes that I want and looking for. This restaurant revives my point of view with Indian Food. I love the Chick pea sauce on their Samosa. The Chicken Tandoori is very soft and delicious. The Goat Masala is very tender and tastes really good. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back here.
JMK Mahal is tucked away on a side street in Maple Ridge but is it ever a hidden little gem of a restaurant. As with most family owned restaurants in Maple Ridge, it has personality and a delicious menu to offer. There's a variety of dishes to choose from. My table ordered vegetable and cauliflower pakoras to start with some chai tea. Excellent portions and for a great price. Both were delicious! Next we shared a variety of vegetarian dishes (Aloo Gobi, Chana Masala and Malai Kofta) with rice and naan bread. All three were ordered with medium spice which was a nice level of heat for the dishes. There was more than enough leftovers to have the next day for lunch. The restaurant is small but busy with lots of take out being picked up and other patrons enjoying some stellar Indian cuisine. The restaurant also offers a daily lunch buffet which allows customers to try a variety of dishes all at once. I will definitely be returning to JMK Mahal to try other dishes they have to offer as I was thoroughly impressed with my experience last night.
Wonderful daily lunch buffet from 11am-3pm. A variety for flavourful dishes for everyone! This is a hidden gem of Maple Ridge!
My go to place in Ridge for indian. Samosas are always good and fresh. Have ordered here a handful of times, and I've never really been disappointed. But I do have to say that their veggie pakora isn't as stellar as the other things I've had there.
