This place was great. We stayed at the Naxian on the beach which is the hotel on site. The food was excellent and so were the drinks. We had great service while on the beach and if you're staying at the Naxian you can either pay then and there or charge it to your room and pay at the end of your stay which was convenient. Do not be fooled by the looks of the place, it looks nice but that 's the only positive. Save your money and go to a place (any other place! where you will actually enjoy being. From the look and prices of the place, you would expect decent service. The main problem is that Tortuga only hired turtles. I went inside for a coffee, 3 servers were standing and chatting at the bar, one asked me what I wanted and then told me to take a seat and to wait. After about 10 minutes of waiting for the servers to finish their conversation (they would just turn around and look at me to see if I was still there one server finally came and asked again what I wanted again in a tone that sounded more like why are you still here? . I ordered my coffee and the server just went back to chat with his friends again... after a while I just got up, cancelled my order and left. Bottom line, the servers are too busy talking to be bothered to actually work. I can 't say if their coffee was good since my order never went that far... During our entire 2 week trip in Athens, Santorini and Naxos, this is the first place where Greek hospitality was non-existant.
