They attempted to scrape it off, but since it’s wasabi, some remained, and let me tell you, eating it was a fiery experience! I really dislike wasabi. My partner ordered shrimp tacos without onions, but unfortunately, there were onions in the dish as well, and again, they made a poor effort to remove them. As for the sides, we had beans and rice. I'm not sure if they were just running low or being stingy, but the rice was hardly a quarter cup, and the black beans were maybe a tablespoon—if that! I also ordered a side of pickled vegetables, thinking it would be a decent portion, but it arrived in a tiny condiment cup. For $5, that felt like a rip-off! On a positive note, the ciders we tried were great. I loved the option to sample four-ounce sizes for around $3—such a cool idea! As we were about to leave, we ordered dessert to go since we had heard everything is made from scratch. We chose a red velvet bundt cake for $10. They brought it out in a large dessert box, which was misleading because when we got to our destination and opened it, we found a tiny bundt cake that was even smaller than a cornbread muffin! I really hope that cake wasn't homemade because it tasted like a frozen, imported product. It was mushy and wet, with an awful flavor. Clearly, it lacked any love or care in its preparation. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 10.
The seafood menu is quite limited, featuring only mahi as the fish option. They offer chowder in three different varieties. The restaurant has a strong focus on smoked meats, and the pulled pork sandwich is quite tasty.
The food was incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. The key lime cake was truly an experience. Greetings from Germany! I would love to return on my next vacation.
This was our 2nd visit ,as paying bill waitress states party of 5 20% gratuity added no signs nothing. We where only customers in place. We paid 3 and 2 split bill. Still charged 20% on each bill.We normally tip 25% so waitresses loss
