Lazy Days South - Marathon

I stopped by Lazy Day Marathon last night based on my best friend’s recommendation, and I’m so glad I did, especially since we had our kids with us. My friend ordered the Lazy Day Hug Fish (which wasn’t on the menu), and it was fantastic! The hog fish was lightly fried in Panko and served with diced tomatoes, chives, parmesan, and a special key lime butter sauce. We also had the Caesar salad as a side, and it was honestly the best fish and Caesar salad I’ve ever had! My kids, who are quite picky eaters, also really enjoyed their meals. This place is definitely going to be a must-visit for me every time I come to the Keys. The staff was friendly, and the service was both fast and excellent. Highly recommended!

We started with escargot and French onion soup, and then moved on to the jalapeño fried chicken and yellow snapper. Everything was so delicious, especially the signature lime butter. It was all phenomenal! To top it off, we enjoyed a stunning view from the terrace.

We're at Lazy Days South while we're there in Marathon on our last night. The food was great, but above all the management and staff were the best! I left my Costa sunglasses there this night and didn't recognize it until we were on our way home. We called the restaurant and nobody had seen the glasses. One hour later, the manager called back and said he found her. He put them in the post-fist class, and I got Saum back within a few days. I was so grateful for his kindness and willingness to do this! Not many places.

We brought our tuna and mahi we caught today for them to prepare. Our waiter suggested jalapeño panko crusted for the tuna.The five of us all agree, we will always come back for Lazy Days to cook our catch. The service and view is also incredible.

Had my first meal here tonight at the suggestion of Rachel at White Sands Inn (that 's another amazing story to tell ! ...and she was SO right. The sunset was spectacular, the food delicious and most of all our waiter, Daniel provided excellent service with just the right touch of Let me get that for you mi 'Lady ...made the day for us !!!
