I ordered the taco salad with steak fajita meat, but I found the steak to be a bit tough and overpowering. Everything else was excellent. One thing I wish they had done was inquire whether it was my first visit and explain how the service works. I ended up waiting a while for my server to bring my bill, not realizing that I needed to go up to pay.
We intended to enjoy lunch at the restaurant today, but considering the sweltering heat in Marble Falls, we decided to use the drive-through instead. It took a bit longer than expected for our order to be prepared, but given that it was during the peak lunch hour, I completely understood. We ordered the number 10, which includes a crispy taco, a cheese enchilada, and rice with beans. We also tried the number 19, known as Enchiladas Supreme, featuring a plate of four enchiladas—beef, chicken, cheese, and beans—served with cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. While both dishes were decent, we found them to be fairly typical for Tex-Mex and lacking anything unique. One letdown was that many restaurants now offer chips and salsa to go with their lunch platters, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case at El Rancho. They do have an extensive menu, so we might consider returning to try more items when we’re back in Marble Falls.
This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. I highly recommend it. Delicious!
The service might be a bit slow, but it's definitely worth the wait. The beef fajita is incredibly flavorful and served hot.
The food was enjoyable, and the waitress was pleasant, but I did have a few issues during my visit. When my meal was served, I had to request that my soup be reheated. Additionally, once the food was on my table, I was bothered by flies buzzing around me from all sides. I ended up covering my meal with napkins. To make matters worse, one of the servers began sweeping just a couple of feet away from me. I had to politely ask her to stop, as a cloud of dust was heading my way, and it was clear she wasn't pleased with my request. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience.
