Watching the chef cook my food via hot plate window in very clean kitchen using gloves was quite satisfying. IF ONLY their bartender was someone else this would be 200% recommended. She was just horrible. I would overlook kind of unfriendly behavior which is strange for bartender who usually is very talkative and attentive to bar guests, but she was constantly on her phone or chatting with locals on bar completely ignoring me. Not once she asked how is my food, touching her hair every 3 minutes but the worst was when she was fixing her ponytail and when holding it with left hand she grabbed my food from window and brought in front of me. Such a shame because this place deserves ten stars for chef and food but I haven't had such unpleasant bartender for many years.
Baked haddock was average at best. The scallop dinner was better. No bread was served, yet some tables had it Our server was friendly. The dining room was dark and severely outdated but that may be the charm. Go for the drinks, leave the food!
The atmosphere is a sports bar for sure. But the food exceeds all expectations! The haddock with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and creamy! The portion sizes were generous and the prices very reasonable. Would come back again!
Dinner upstairs opened at 445 the day we went, we joined the line to get in. Excellent atmosphere, great service, delicious food, just perfect.
This is a great little place ! It's a little hole in the wall that looks like a bar , but has a few tables. While we were there for lunch there were several families there. We had scallops and fish and chips and it was the most affordable lunch I've had at all the beaches I've been to this summer. The food was excellent I would go back again in a heartbeat. I also wanted to give kudos to the bartender/waitress. She had a full bar and all tables occupied and she was doing both jobs. These days your lucky if people show up to do one job, nevermind two. She was awesome
